Patient Info
Patient 22968
Description:
The patient pictured here was injected with micro injections of half strength Dysport in the skin to decrease pore size. Botulinum Toxins Type A (Botox, Dysport and Xeomin) are primarily used to decrease lines in the face by decreasing the movement of the muscles that cause those lines. Intra-dermal injections, in the skin instead of the muscle, however, may also produce some positive affects on the skin. These so called micro injections are considered "off label" from the FDA approved uses and seem to be just as safe. In our Xeomin gallery there is a patient treated "off label" with micro injections of Xeomin for fine lines of the cheek.
