Reconstructive Surgery and Tissue Expansion Before and After Pictures Patient 23681
Reconstructive Surgery and Tissue Expansion before and after, Front
One of the common causes of difficulty breathing through the nose is called nasal valve collapse or nasal vestibular stenosis. It is why some people still have trouble breathing after an operation for a deviated septum. There are two sets of nasal valves, internal and external. This gentleman had his external valves fixed with a cartilage graft from his nasal septum, a so-called batten graft. In the before and after pictures he is breathing in hard through his nose with his mouth closed. The side of the nose is not supposed to collapse as it does in the pre op photo.
