I am a 15 year old Asian American guy who would like a nose job. My doctor told me that men keep growing until at least 18 years of age; am I too young to get this surgery?
I agree with your doctor. I have even seen young men hit a growth spurt in college. It is important to make sure that your septum and nasal bones have stopped growing before considering surgery. Surgery could alter the “growth centers” in the septum and the bones. If you keep growing after surgery, the results may be disappointing. One way to check on this is to do an xray of your hands and wrists. Once the growth plates in your hand and wrists are “closed”, it is a pretty good chance that you have stopped growing.
