I am a 47 year old female and recently quit smoking after 30 years. I have very deep wrinkles around my mouth and would like to have injectable fillers to take care of this. Is there an amount of time I should wait before having this procedure or will some of the wrinkles correct themselves now that I have quit smoking?
I am sorry to tell you that the wrinkles will not go away by themselves. Hyaluronic acids are commonly used for this condition, Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm, etc. A more permanent solution would be carbon dioxide laser resurfacing.
