Question:
What fillers can be used for plumping lips and how long can results expect to last?
Answer:
The only filler FDA approved (just recently approved actually) is Restylane. However, any of the hyaluronic acid fillers will work. I prefer Perlane, a more concentrate version of Restylane; because I think it lasts longer. Also, the syringe is a full 1 cc. Juvederm is 0.8cc, and they charge more for the version with anesthetic (lidocaine) mixed in. Radiesse, calcium hydroxyl apetite, should not be used for lip augmentation. It can migrate and form lumps in the lips.
