Are chemical peels still used today? You don’t hear much about them anymore. What are they good for treating and are other things like injectables better?
Many physicians still do moderate and deep chemical peels. My aesthetician does light peels like lactic acid and the Vitalize peels. If you have very deep wrinkles, the phenol peel may be the best peel for you. I prefer to use a carbon dioxide laser to achieve the same result. I think I have more control. For the medium depth, I prefer Portrait plasma skin resurfacing. Again, it is an issue of control of the results.
