Question:
I am very interested in the mini face lift because it is less invasive than a regular face lift. Most of my issues are with the lower half of my face, my neck, lower cheeks and jowls, so I think I am a good candidate for this surgery. How does the mini face lift differ surgically from the traditional face lift?
Answer:
Hate to be the bearer of potentially bad news, but if you have an issue with jowls and your neck, a full lower face lift may be the best operation for you. Most “most mini lifts” are cheek lifts. They mostly tighten your jawline. A submental platysmaplasty tightens the skin and muscles under your chin. A neck lift tightens the entire neck. These are also “mini lifts” when done as individually. Both also usually include some liposuction of the neck.
