Question:
I had rhinoplasty almost a month ago to lift the tip slightly and remove a small hump. I’m worried that the tip now looks like a ball at the bottom of what is now a long and narrow nose and that this will get even worse as the swelling subsides. Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I be concerned and will I need additional work on the tip?
Answer:
It is much too early to be very concerned, especially if you have thick skin. Even with thin skin, however, the tip of the nose can take many months to achieve its final appearance. Your surgeon will counsel you on this. He/she may suggest some steroid injections along the way or may just suggest patience.
