Question : I’m interested in rejuvenating my neck, especially the extra skin there. I’ve recently been reading about a short scar neck lift and I’d like to know how this is different from a regular neck lift and if it can provide the same results.
Answer : The term “short scar” can be misleading. One study I saw recently measured the scars and they were really the same. The more skin that is removed, the longer the scar. The scar should not be a concern. No matter how long, it should hide very nicely. Most of my patients can wear their hair up within a few months.
