FAQs
Does Obagi really work better than department store creams?
You be the judge.  Take a look at the photos we have posted on the site.  These are very typical results.  Obagi works with all skin types and is based on real science.  These are pharmaceutical products not cosmaceuticals.  They cannot be sold in department stores.

Do I have to stay on Obagi forever?

The initial treatment period for Obagi is about 18 weeks.  If you have a severe pigmentation problem, however, it may be longer.  After the initial treatment period, you will go on maintenance.  On maintenance Obagi you use much less product and do it much less often, a few times each week as opposed to the twice daily regimen in the initial treatment period.  To maintain what you have achieved, you should stay on maintenance indefinitely.  In addition, many of our patients go on active treatment for a skin cycle (about 6 weeks) each fall to rid themselves of any excess pigment they may have picked up over the summer.

Why do I need to do this through a doctor's office?

Obagi products are pharmaceutical grade and must be dispensed under a physician's supervision.  Also, there is a definite dose for these products.  We want to make sure you get the right dose and have a good response to the products.  In addition, retinol is part of the treatment.  We cannot legally dispense that over the internet .
